- Midlands
The midlands is a small space but it hosts a variety of locations I've used. I was born here and currently rent a house just down the road from where I used to live, it's close to my university and family. It's not that great for work purposes but I will remain here until I finish university. If I do leave I know this place will hold a lot of memories for me.

- Birds
I often use birds in my work to portray a certain mood. I remember watching the 'The Birds' as a child and it's concept haunted me for a long time, it took a while before I trusted birds again! I always use the birds to convey a dark element in my work, you'll find them amongst dark cloudy skies. In my phobia work, I potrayed 'Ornithophobia' - the fear of birds by encasing a girl inside her phobia - a bird cage.

- Death
Death is something everyone tries to avoid, it's an awful subject to talk about, but unfortunately it's part life. In my crime scene series I potray scenes of a crime in a 'beautiful' way. This was much inspired by Melanie Pullens colour prints of crime scenes.

- Black Rain
Me & my boyfriend started a band up a few years back, at first it was him on his own but we eventually started working together. I'm the singer in the band and he plays guitar. It's great to do something different, sometimes I find myself too wrapped up in photography and Black Rain is a relief from this. At the moment we haven't done anything new because I'm so busy and he's working a lot, but it's something we'll be working on in the future.

- Inspiration
My inspiration comes from almost anything. I'm inspired mainly by childhood memories, tales, films and masters in art and photography. Music is also a great inspiration, I often find myself picturing scenes whilst listening to lyrics of a song.

- Tim Burton
I've always admired the work of Tim Burton, my favourite film as a child was 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. I find his works fresh, unique and daring. I hope one day to be as successsful at he is.

-2006 (joker word)
Was a year of change for me, early in the year I had put my camera down for a very long time. I wasn't inspired to do anything or create art. When I fell in the summer with peritionitis, it made me realise how precious life is, and whilst you're around you might as well make the most of it. After that I really pushed myself to create and I find my best works are just after this.

- Red
I often use red in my works, it's such a striking colour and immediately pulls the viewier in. It also has a number of meanings, which you'll often find linked to the concept in my works. In the crime scene series, red often portrays danger or death.
