Melkhia

Melkhia is the youngest "son" of Kain, he was the last of the six to be raised by Kain, so he received the weakest portion of Kain's gift. He is immortal, but his soul could not sustain the flesh, which retained much of its previous human frailty, it decays, and he forced to merge the bodies of his victims with his own. And though Melchiah is just a big rotten meatball, he is beautiful, in aesthetical sense of course, and the whole world of "Legacy of Kain" is gorgeous, world where everything dies, where grotesque is one and only art form that left, such a beautiful place.

Angel's Egg

Angel's Egg is visually one of the best artworks ever made and it is definitely one of the best work of Yoshitaka Amano, and the main reason why i believe this is one of his greatest work - because it is a movie, and one awesome movie, its like, you never imagined that work of...i don’t know, giger came alive?, or Dali?, thats the same, and even more. The beauty of this movie is conveyed through sound and images already, story is told not through dialogs, but through imagery, symbols, that never actually explained. Also because of the surreal nature of the film, it is open to multiple or even conflicting interpretations. But nevertheless it is not pointless, when you do artforms like this, everything is done for a reason.

Surrealism

Surrealism for me is one of the major art style, alongside all forms of abstract art, because for me art is primarily images, not related to reality, symbols which conceals meaning, the elements of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur, and the farther these images are from reality, the more real they are for me. I do not share attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality, or non-existing reality, there are always other  ways of describing visual experience to the artist, more interesting ways.

Russia

Though I live in Ukraine, I never actually separate this countries one from another. I can not say that I love or not love the country, or rather this country's, cause they all the same. I just have to accept the fact that I live where I live.

Japan

And this is a place where I want to live, and maybe should be born. It so happened that from early childhood products of the Japanese mass-cult exerted the strongest influence on me, for example anime "Ghost in the shell" i watched back in junior high, perhaps this explains my attraction to Japanese culture, with all its follies, flight of imagination, without stupid thrust toward realism.

2050

I do not particularly interested in how and what will be in the future, the real future, I do not live up to it, all that i can do is dream, fantasize about "spaceships surfing Grand Theatre"(That's like a joke from an old Soviet movie).

Apple

According to WIKI, Apple is an American multinational corporation that designs and manufactures consumer electronics and computer software products :) Yep, megacorporations, Cyberpunk. I hope one day Apple really became mega corporation, that it can ignore the law, posses own heavily-armed private army, build giant Irobots, and wipe out bloody Microsoft.

Flying Away

The biggest work of mine, took about one and a half month to complete, and turn out such a mess, maybe i should stop trying to get an award on cgTalk? and just draw things that i want to draw.

George Lucas

He is a great storyteller, THX 1138, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Willow, great movies, and he also have a good sense of humor, cause, Star Wars actually is a remake of Akira Kurosawa's samurai movie, and, yeah, it is a big homage to Asian culture, though its a pity that it became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon, and somehow lost its charm.

Love

I always believe in one true love, and kind of that stuff, and i really love movies about it, mainly those by Wong Kar Wai, and i can watch them forever. Cause love, and passion is the strongest dramatic element, and it could beat you up so hard...
